Steve Finch As for my contributions to this vast undertaking, I came up with the group name along with the intial idea to go visit a zoo. I also contributed to the section on education and wrote a few brief "blurbs" about some of the pictures that we took. After spending half of a day at the zoo and doing little bit of research as to what the zoo attempts to do exactly and what they are all about, I must conclude that I am "pro-zoo." The way I see it, there are essentially two major, positive points that the zoo offers to the general public and the environment as a whole. First of all, the zoo undoubtedly offers an invaluable service to the children of society. The level of excitement and pure astonishment that we witnessed on the faces of the children at the zoo was purely amazing. With a level of interest as strong as this, there is bound to be some learning taking place. Second, the zoo offers a safe environment for endangered species and other forms of wildlife that would otherwise be threatened by the actions of man. The zoo offers a safe refuge for animals such as this. Ergo, I am "pro-zoo." [ Brett D. | Steve F. | Yvette G. | Eric N. | Jeanne S. | Stacy S. | Peter S. ] |
